Landmark Media Productions is a growing television production company specializing in high quality docu-series and documentaries. Founded by former CNNers Michael Watts and Peter Hartogs, we have over 35 years of television production and international broadcast distribution experience. Most recently, Landmark co-produced the critically acclaimed Boomtowners for Smithsonian Channel in the US. The series chronicled the oil boom, and beginnings of the bust, in North Dakota and Montana. It was the first program ever submitted for a Primetime Emmy nomination by Smithsonian Channel. Prior to forming Landmark, Michael was Supervising Producer for CNN's "Larry King Live." After producing medical news for CNN, Peter moved to become head of PR at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, and VP of Landmark Media.
Our mission is to make programs of the highest quality that are enjoyable, innovative, and if you're not careful you might learn something, or feel an emotion or two. We will tell stories, and tell them well. It is our goal and our passion.
Landmark Media Productions is a full service production outfit. While our focus is on creating first rate programs for international distribution, we are also available for consulting, corporate videos, and most other production needs.
